The LifeChange program is
a residential Christian discipleship program for young women aged 16
– 25. Essentially structured to help individuals move forward in
Christ, LifeChange is first a program that offers
women the opportunity to know Jesus Christ, and through their
relationship with Him be healed and find personal freedom.
The LifeChange program addresses the whole person – mind, body and soul. Inward ‘root’ issues are addressed, as well as outward behaviors (alcohol/drug use, self-abuse, promiscuity, depression, etc.).
The LifeChange program offers each resident a safe, off-the-beaten-path environment in order to deal with issues that are negatively impacting her life. This includes being involved in church community life and incorporates personal discipleship, education, worship and ministry opportunities.
The program has two main sessions each year:
1. Summer session, running for two months, July – August.
2. Full session, running September – June.
Room and board are provided at LifeChange. The residence, The Scott Street House, is a private home environment with a chosen capacity of 6 residents plus house parents.
LifeChange gives young people a break from the tension and pressure of familiar negative influences present in their hometown environment. With 24/7 mentoring, counsel and guidance, your child will be able to begin making smart decisions and drop destructive habits. This kind of environmental change brings a new, healthy perspective on life for both the participant and their family back home.

Admission to the LifeChange program is handled individually through the Program Director. Each case is handled independently, as each circumstance is unique. After initial contact either by phone, email or personal meeting, forms requesting information are sent to the family.
In emergency situations, providing there is a current opening, the process and placement can happen very quickly if our staff discerns that your child will benefit from the program.
LifeChange accepts young women who are currently struggling, require ongoing guidance and need a break from away from family or peers. Our basic requirements are as follows:
Must speak English
Young women ages 16 to 25
Not currently chemically dependent
No schizophrenia, psychosis, or diagnosed personality disorders
No violent criminal behavior
No sexual offenses
Please note: we are not a clinical or medical facility and do not offer special medical treatment or psychiatric care.
LifeChange is committed to the very best care for your child, and has considered several policies to help provide that care, while at the same time ensuring success of the LifeChange program as it works with other children. It is our desire to fully inform parents about the functioning of LifeChange, and of the strategies and programs set up for your child. Following are links to a page covering a number of policies addressing topics of concern. Please read carefully and feel free to discuss any portion of this information with our Program Director.
